X.Series SuperZoom Add-On
Filters Add-On for X.Series SuperZoom Tele
Reach is only half the look—light is the rest. The Filters Add-On threads directly to the X.Series SuperZoom Telephoto, giving you three essentials filters for telephoto control. Purpose-built glass with color-true coatings keeps files clean and consistent; the slim, metal frames maintain balance on the 240mm so the rig stays compact.

Filters Add-On for X.Series SuperZoom Tele

Pro Filters
Light is the raw material of photography — and these filters give you mastery over it. Each one is optically matched to the X.Series system to preserve edge-to-edge sharpness, eliminate vignetting, and unlock pro-level creative control.
240mm Compatible Filters
3 Filters. 1 Bundle.

CPL Filter
Kill Glare, Boost Color
Rotate to reduce reflections on glass, water, painted metal and to deepen skies/foliage. Text becomes legible through windows, and colors hold saturation without crunchy contrast. A must for architecture, vehicles, storefronts.

Soft VND Filter
Daylight Control.
2-5 Stops.
Ideal for bright daylight and run-and-gun. Hold cinematic shutter angles for video (e.g., 1/120 at 60p) and avoid rolling-shutter shimmer on distant detail. Great for street, cityscapes, travel at 16× FOV.

Hard VND Filter
Hard Sun, Wide Latitude.
6-10 Stops.
For midday sun, glass & steel, water, snow—any scene where highlights clip fast. Keeps shutter sane without pushing ISO, preserving texture on bright subjects (facades, signage, reflective trim) even at long reach.
Variable ND Filter — Soft & Hard
A Variable ND lets you dial in light with a smooth twist, keeping your chosen aperture and cinematic shutter in bright conditions.
Choose Soft (free-turn) for ultra-precise tuning, or Hard-Stop for fast, repeatable ranges—ideal for shooting wide-open, maintaining motion blur, and balancing exposure without changing your look.
Circular Polarizer (CPL) Filter
A CPL cuts glare from glass and water, deepens skies, and restores true color and contrast. Use it outdoors to reveal hidden detail, tame reflections, and deliver richer, cleaner images straight out of camera.

X.Series
Use this section for any descriptive text you need to fill out your pages or to add introductory headings between other blocks.
What is the X.Series SuperZoom?
X.Series is ShiftCam’s next-generation SuperZoom telephoto system, designed to extend the reach of your smartphone’s telephoto camera through true optical magnification.
The lineup includes the 2.0× SuperZoom, offering approximately 200mm-equivalent reach, and the 3.5× SuperZoom, reaching approximately 350mm equivalent on the iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max 4× telephoto camera. (at 48MP) Both are engineered for long-range detail, telephoto compression and subject isolation without relying solely on digital crop.
Is the X.Series SuperZoom compatible with all smartphone models?
X.Series is designed for compatible smartphones with a dedicated telephoto / periscope camera and requires a compatible ShiftCam mounting solution.
Compatibility varies by phone model and camera layout, so we recommend checking the compatibility information on the product page before ordering.
X.Series mounts through the ShiftCam S.Mount system, using a compatible ShiftCam Camera Case or Universal S.Mount where supported.
What do I need to mount the X.Series SuperZoom, and how do I align it?
You’ll need a compatible ShiftCam S.Mount mounting solution, such as a supported ShiftCam Camera Case or Universal S.Mount.
Attach the X.Series SuperZoom over your phone’s compatible telephoto camera and rotate it into the S.Mount until securely locked in place.
Correct alignment ensures the lens is centered over the telephoto camera for the best image quality and to avoid unwanted obstruction in the frame.
Which camera apps should I use with X.Series SuperZoom?
For the best X.Series experience, we recommend using the upcoming ShiftCam One app (coming soon), designed to work more seamlessly with ShiftCam lenses and supported camera workflows.
Until then, X.Series can also be used with third-party camera apps that allow greater control over which camera module is active, including:
- Project Indigo
- Halide
- ProCamera
- Adobe Lightroom
- Blackmagic Camera
These apps can be particularly useful because some smartphones automatically switch between camera modules depending on lighting, focus distance or zoom level. Being able to manually select and hold the telephoto camera helps ensure you’re shooting through the X.Series lens consistently.
Native camera apps may also work, depending on your phone and shooting conditions.
Do I need a tripod with the X.Series SuperZoom?
Not necessarily. X.Series is designed to remain a mobile, handheld SuperZoom system.
However, as with any long telephoto lens, the more reach you use, the more visible small hand movements become. Stabilization can therefore be especially helpful with the 3.5× SuperZoom, when shooting distant subjects, video, low-light scenes or when you want maximum sharpness.
For casual daylight photography, handheld shooting is possible. For more demanding situations, a tripod, monopod or gimbal can help you get the most from the lens.
Where can I shop X.Series Macro and Filter Add-Ons?
X.Series is designed as an expandable system, allowing you to extend your SuperZoom setup with dedicated Macro Converters and Filters.

You can also choose an X.Series Macro Kit, Filters Kit or Full Kit if you want these accessories bundled with your SuperZoom lens.
How do the X.Series Macro Converters work, and can I stack them?
X.Series Macro Converters attach to the M43 front thread of the X.Series SuperZoom, transforming the telephoto lens into a long-range macro setup for capturing fine details from a practical shooting distance.
Each converter adds more macro magnification, and you can stack up to four converters together for up to 40× magnification. This lets you progressively move from close-up detail to extreme macro, depending on your subject.
The system gives you the flexibility to go from distant telephoto photography to highly magnified textures, surfaces and small details using the same X.Series lens platform.
What is the thread size for X.Series Filters and Add-Ons?
X.Series SuperZoom lenses use an M43 front thread for compatible X.Series filters, macro converters and other optical add-ons.
This is different from the M37 system used by the original 240mm Super Zoom, so existing 240mm M37 accessories should not be assumed to fit X.Series directly.
Always check the individual accessory compatibility before use.
What’s the difference between the 240mm Super Zoom and X.Series SuperZoom?
The 240mm Super Zoom introduced ShiftCam’s long-range mobile photography system, bringing powerful optical telephoto reach, macro expansion and filter capability to the smartphone.
X.Series builds on that foundation as our next-generation SuperZoom platform.
The new X.Series introduces two levels of optical reach:
- 2.0× SuperZoom — approximately 200mm equivalent (on the iP17 Pro/Pro Max 4× Tele Camera)
- 3.5× SuperZoom — approximately 350mm equivalent (on the iP17 Pro/Pro Max 4× Tele Camera)
Beyond the expanded focal-length choices, X.Series has been engineered around a new optical platform featuring Fluorite Crystal optics, an updated multi-element design and advanced multi-layer coatings designed to deliver greater clarity, stronger edge performance and better control of optical aberrations across demanding long-range compositions.
X.Series also introduces a new M43-based accessory ecosystem, supporting dedicated Macro Converters and Filters across the new SuperZoom system.
The 240mm remains the lens that established ShiftCam’s SuperZoom experience. X.Series takes that idea further — with more choice in reach, a new generation of optics, and a broader system built specifically around long-range mobile photography.
